My National Parks Birding Challenge

Stay tuned as I unviel my National Parks Birding Challenge checklist one park at a time. For each of the 63 National Parks in the U.S. National Parks system I have selected one bird to be the ambasador and represent the park. My objective is to spot each bird as I tour the National Parks. In general my selections meet three guidelines:

1. The bird must be a year-round resident of the park

2.  The bird should be representative of the National Park in some way

​3. The bird should be regional
